The Skylands Junior Kings of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Evan Barghout has committed to play hockey for William Paterson (ACHA D2) for the 2017-18 Season.

Evan was a standout goalie for the Junior Kings in both the 2015-16 & 2016-17 Season.

Patrick Choules, who took over in 2016-17 as head coach, and assisted the inaugural season claims, “Evan was an asset to our program over the course of our first two years. He is a hard working goal-tender who always remains positive and leads by example.”

Joe Balance, Head Coach for the Pioneers, remarked “Evan is a sound technical goaltender who plays his angles well. His work ethic and team first attitude mentioned by Coach Mitchell make him a player valuable to the WPU Hockey Program. We know we are adding another player to our locker-room who has a strong character and will be a great teammate.”

In 2016-17, The William Paterson University Pioneers received an automatic bid to the national tournament for the 8th time in the past 9 seasons. After a 5th place finish nationally the past 2 seasons they competed trying to earn their first ever national championship. The championship ultimately went to New York University.
