Mathias Yttereng, the Kings’ netminder for the past two seasons will be back to provide solid protection for the Kings, along with the Kings top line and point producers of Ford, Garrigan and Vanderhoff, who all respectedly earned over a point per game last season.
Alexander Johansson, (5’10”; 170)
a two way defensemen from Short Hills, NJ is excited for the upcoming season with the Skylands Kings in the NA3HL. Last season, Johansson played NJ Rockets 19U Elite in the EHL, as well as his youth hockey with the NJ Rockets. “A 99′ birth year, we look for Alex to be a big addition to our blue line, as he is a strong stay at home D-man to protect the net, but also joins the rush to get shots on goal”, said Adam Mitchell, head coach. Alex added 4 assists & 8 PIMS last season and can’t wait to make the Kings his new home.
Taylor Zink, (5’11”; 165) a 14 year netminder from Byram Twp, NJ, is a strong athlete who has played in both AA and Tier I hockey in New Jersey. Zink maintained a GAA of .893 for the NJ Devils U18AA team in the 2016-17 season. Taylor is also a four year lettermen for his high school hockey team, where he maintained an impressive GPA in all honors and AP classes. Zink has been named an NJ Star Candidate. “The addition of Taylor to the King’s roster of goalies creates solid options for the Kings at all times, and we look forward to the season knowing our net is very well protected”, said head coach Adam Mitchell. Taylor hopes to play NCAA hockey, where he plans to major in pre-med.
