Mite Head Coach
Derek Baker joins us for his first year as a Mite U8 coach. He is also a member of the coaching staff for the the Kings Girls Development Program. His past duties include working clinics and camps for both the Hockey Head Start and the Rangers Learn to Play programs. Derek is a Certified USA Hockey Level I Coach.

Coach Watt began playing hockey around the age of 5 and played for house leagues, travel teams, and high school varsity in the Gordon Conference, then on to play ACHA-1 in college. Chris has been a coach at Skylands for 7 years and has worked with players at the Learn To Skate Future Rangers programs through Skylands Developmental Program. More recently Coach Watt was co-coach with Coach Hughes for the Mite Gold team, finishing 2nd at the Hershey Halloween Howl Tournament. Coach Watt has also been assistant coach for Squirt White teams for the past two seasons, finishing 1st at the Hershey Christmas Tournament and 2nd in Lake Placid International Tournament. Coach Watt has over 16 years officiating experience for USA Hockey, high school, Junior-A, ACHA and NCAA. He has officiated several National Tournaments as a linesman and referee.
Steve Hughes returns for his second year as a Kings coach. He co-coached the Kings Mites Gold team for the 2016-2017 season, and previously assisted in clinics for the Skylands Hockey Head Start (HHS), Skylands Development League (SDL) programs, and with Mites and Squirts practices over the past 5+ years.
Steve is a Level 3 Certified USA Hockey Official and has been officiating hockey for the past 13 years and is a Certified USA Hockey Level 1 Coach as well as SafeSport Certified.

PeeWee U12 AA Navy Head Coach
Tom Boudreaux returns for his 6th year as a favorite Kings youth hockey coach. Since being added to the Kings roster of coaches, Tom’s teams have won many tournaments, most recently, the Silver Stick New England regional during the 2016-2017 season. Tom is a USA Hockey level 3 certified coach and level 3 certified referee.
Tucker Oswald returns to the Skylands Kings in his fourth year as a coach. With over 20 years of coaching experience, Tucker has had the pleasure of working with hockey players at a youth hockey, prep school and collegiate level.
As a player, Tucker was a goaltender and played collegiate hockey at both Elmira and Cortland State. After college Tucker gained coaching experience developing and training goaltenders under the tutelage of Bill Howard at the University of Wisconsin and Mike Valley of the Dallas Stars.
Tucker is a USA Hockey Level 3 certified coach.
PeeWee U12 White Head Coach
Mark returns to the Kings with 16+ years of youth hockey coaching experience including Tier I / AAA and at the high school level for Pope John. Mark finished the 2010-11 season with a Silver Stick Championship, Tournament Championship and a trip to the NJYHL playoffs. In 2014-15 Mark was the Mite/ADM Coordinator.
Mark is an Advanced Level IV USA Hockey Coach.
PeeWee U12 Gold Head Coach
Chris joins the Kings for 2017-18. He is a member of the coaching staff for the Skylands Youth Hockey House League as well as the Mite 3 vs 3 League. His past duties include working clinics and camps for both the Hockey Head Start and Rangers Learn to Play programs.
Chris’s began his playing career as a youth with the NJ Bandits & the Ramapo Saints. He lettered in Varsity hockey at Ringwood High School and continued his playing career at the County College of Morris Hockey as well as the New York Junior Saints.
Chris’s father Ken Scarpa has also been very involved with hockey as a coach and scout for Tier III Junior Hockey teams as he also previously was the Head Coach of William Paterson University (WPU) Ice Hockey team and had successfully lead them to an ACHA National Championship Invitation in 2009.
Chris is excited to be a part of the Kings coaching staff and is a USA Hockey level 1 certified coach.
PeeWee U12 Black Head Coach
Gino joins the Kings for 2017-18. Gino’s coaching career includes prior coaching at Skylands for the Future Ranger Program as well as the Montclair Hockey Club Mite through Pee Wee Divisions and the Montclair Hockey Club High School League.
Gino is also a certified respiratory therapist at a specialized children’s hospital. He is excited to back at the Kings and working with the Pee Wees!

Mark returns for his second year as a Kings Bantam Coach. His 2016-17 team was a NJYHL Finalist and a AAHA District Participant.
2015-16 – Head Coached U18A and won Weekend at the Dog House Tournament and was a finalist at the IceWorks Summer Fire on Ice Tournament.
Mark has coached at several NJYHL member organizations from the lower levels through Midget. Mark was also involved in West Milford Hockey as a volunteer coach at both the youth and high school levels, as well as a volunteer member, treasurer and president.
Mark is a Level 4 USA Hockey certified Coach and is age specific certified from Mite to U18, as well as being SafeSport Certified.

Midget U16 AA Navy & Midget U16 A White Head Coach
Patrick grew up in Beaconsfield, Quebec, a suburb of Montreal. After graduating from high school in Montreal, he was recruited to Millbrook School where he played hockey, soccer and baseball and captained all three teams his senior year.
Post Millbrook, Patrick played junior hockey for the Brockville Braves in the CJHL and the Kahnawake Condors in the LHJAAAQ. While playing for the Condors, he was recruited to SUNY Potsdam where he played four years of NCAA hockey and was assistant captain during his junior season. As a D-man at Potsdam, Patrick played in 84 games, recording 17 points in his career.
Patrick graduated from Potsdam with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and spend the next four years at Ontario Hockey Academy, a prep school in Cornwall, Ontario.
During his first year at OHA, Patrick was a coach of the OEMHL AAA League and Playoff Champions. During his tenure, he was also Head Coach of the Major Midget Boys Team, Association President, Director of Player Placement and taught Senior Business and Economics.
Patrick holds a USA Hockey Level 4 Coaching Certificate & Hockey Canada Development Level 1.
